It joined the wifi quickly, works with my Apple Home setup. All together, it's great.
A week or so after installing the thermostat, the app used to control it went belly up. I freaked thinking that it was something I did, but it ended. up being on Honeywell's end. Tech support was helpful and it was back up and running within a day or two.
The features are easy to see and change on the app, but the actual interface with the thermostat is a little challenging at first. The initial setup wasn't intuitive (at least not to me). Programming the heating/cooling ranges took a little trial and error but you can get it after a few minutes. All-in-all a nice unit.

UPDATE
Both thermostats have completely died. One died about 3 months before the other. I’m not sure what did them in, I assume maybe a power failure. When the first one died, I called Honeywell’s technical support geniuses and after a lot of arguing (they insisted I return it to the store where I bought it, not comprehending I bought it here on Amazon and they should back the warranty) they finally agreed to replace it, but not with a T6. They sent me a refurbished T5. It worked a lot better than the T6, and honestly it was in No Response mode only 10% of the time. Just when I finally set up the new T5, my second T6 died soon thereafter. The average lifespan of these two T6s was like 8 months. After again calling them and pleading with them, they again sent me a T5, which despite being a cheaper and older thermostat works far better. Following is the rest of the old review so you know what you’re in for with the T6. Do yourself a favor and demand they “upgrade” you to a T5.

It’s nearly impossible to get these thermostats all the way through the long meandering setup process in this app. Often it fails in the middle of the process, but it ALWAYS fails in the last stages when it’s trying finally to bring it in to Apple Homekit. On the 20th try I finally switched to Home app and pushed the plus button there to bring them in to HomeKit. My thermostats are frequently in No Response mode on the Home app, so they might as well not be in HomeKit at all.
It’s impossible to setup any HomeKit automations for the thermostat because it’s nearly always in No Response. It’s basically not really HomeKit compatible, despite that it falsely advertising that it is.
But it also is not even Lyric compatible, despite that they also falsely advertise that integration. I understood when purchasing the Lyric product line that these things can integrate together so that you can also control the Lyric thermostats from the Lyric security panel, but apparently that is NOT for the HomeKit versions.
Technical support is totally clueless. They will assert stupid excuses why these things don’t work just to make you go away and enjoy your disjointed incompatible devices, but their excuses, like the insane one about disabling your 5GHz Wi-Fi network, are provably false. If you really need to disable the 5GHz network, then that is not a solution but a latent defect, which is why it’s insane they even mentioned it in the year 2021.
The description here on Amazon says it takes AA batteries but I can’t find where they go. I don’t think it takes batteries. The instructions don’t mention it at all. I have common wire, but backup batteries would be nice for power failures.

Anyway I replaced my Honeywell Lyric Round with a Schneider Wiser smart thermostat when my Round died 2 years and 1 month after I bought it (one month out of warranty). The Lyric Round had another major flaw (other than dying) that soured me (see below) so I decided to try the Schneider Wiser instead of another Honeywell product. However when I came home on three different occasions to find my home at around 47, 52 and 55 and the Schneider indicating it was 67 in the house (therefor NOT turning the furnace on) that was enough. Had I been away longer my pipes and possibly my cat would have froze.
The Schneider doesn't offer the geofence feature which was a real plus for me with the Honeywell. You can download an app for your android to monitor the temp and provide some type of geofence with the Schneider but it is a generic app that Schneider doesn't really support. Either way I wouldn't risk my cat or pipes freezing again. So I returned the Schneider Wiser. I really liked the Honeywell Home app with built in geofence so I ended up buying a Honeywell Lyric T6 wireless that works with the Honeywell Home app.
The Honeywell Lyric T6 also doesn't have the flaw that the Lyric Round had when using a lithium battery without a C wire because you don't have the option to use a battery in the first place. I replaced the first battery after about a year with no problems being it wasn't dead or even indicating weak.
You see the problem is that Honeywell in its ultimate wisdom feels a dying battery only rated a 'notice' on your phone. A notice that gets buried under hundreds of other notices. However Honeywell thinks the humidity dropping below 31 rates an ALERT that you can't miss on your phone and in the app. When I found the weak battery notices buried under all the other notices (user has gone outside the geofence. user is home, etc.) after the heat went off (while I was home thankfully) I couldn't believe Honeywell designed such garbage. That to me is a major flaw. That to me is just plain STUPID.
Using a C wire eliminates the battery and the major flaw the Lyric Round had if you used the lithium battery option (just a bad choice that shouldn't even be offered in the first place). With the Lyric T6 you have to use a C wire (no battery option). Both the Lyric T6 and Schneider Wiser came with a C wire adapter. So I decided to give Honeywell another chance.
With the Lyric T6 we can fly to Vegas for a week in the winter after filling the auto-cat feeder, liter box and setting up my web cams to check up on the cat AND monitor the temp with the Honeywell Home app. I wouldn't try that with the Schneider after the first time it screwed up.
The Lyric T6 hasn't tried to freeze my cat . . . yet.

The sycronizing between the thermostat and the Honeywell App on my android cell phone went very smooth and now I control and see everything on my App. I’d recommend it to anyone who would like to replace his standard old thermostat by a new one. You’ll love it!
As long as you have a good WiFi signal for them to connect to they work great; that modem/WiFi box hiding beside the furnace in the basement will NOT cut it.
We are using the app on 3 different phones with the scheduling and GeoFencing and have had zero issues. I can turn the temperature up from my bed when I am woken up by the Better Half to be told "I'm Cold".
